washi paper notecards

I've been working on a paper lei for a co-worker, but have run into a few problems...
I'll post photos of the process at a later time...

Here is a little project that I just have fun with while I'm contemplating solution:
Washi Paper notecards!

I discovered this paper at a Daiso store in San Jose, CA. It is actually made in Thailand, and it is used for wrapping paper gifts. This Washi wrapping paper has a really cool dried petal design.
I can't wait till I'm able to go back to Daiso!

felt tea cakes

I've been without a camera for so long! Clarence finally borrowed a digital camera from my in-laws, so now I can post some felt tea cakes that I've been working on:

These felt treats are patterns from the book, "My favorite felt sweets."

egg book #2

here is a new egg book with a little locket inside:

I've added a few golden egg stickers and sparkles inside. No new products were purchased for this egg book. Its all from my craft room scraps, old stickers, and a locket that was in a bag of goodies from my friend Jessica. I also used some handmade fuchsia wrapping paper that I purchased last year at world market for the center locket page. Its no longer available at our store in San Luis Obsipo :( I should've bought two of them last year!
Thanks for stopping by!

glitter easter decor

I took some photos last year of our Easter celebration at my in-laws, and used them for decor this year. At first glance they look just like photos:

but if viewed at an angle, there are millions of these tiny iridescent glitter circles that give the photos a cool sparkle:
The photos were sprayed with photo mount and then sprinkled with Martha Stewart clear coarse glitter. Thanks for looking! I'm still have more to make!

love lunch bag

I found a wonderful lunch bag tutorial from the purl bee! I've used my day off from work creatively, and I finally made time to sew a project. I'm very inexperienced when it comes to sewing fabrics. The only other project I made was a pair of pajamas a couple of years ago (has it been that long?). This tutorial was very easy to read and understand. You should give it a try today!
Thanks for looking!
